Why I Need To Change My Internet Marketing Business
While I’ve had some success building an affiliate marketing business, I have’t achieved the results I’d hoped for so I felt it was time to go in a new direction .
Being badly organized doesn’t help. Tasks get dealt with more or less as they arise rather than me prioritizing them on a daily basis and tackling the most important ones first.
Inevitably, that means I spend more time on trivial or personally appealing tasks and my business suffers as a result .
Some things, of course, you just have to take care of, like paying bills. I think the problems that occur when you’re not attentive to such matters are a big enough stick to get you to deal with them quickly when possible .
Now, if only that sense of urgency could be applied to other aspects of my business, things would run a lot more smoothly .
I realized that I needed to change my internet marketing strategy and that’s where Alex Jeffreys comes in. In a sense, I’ve hired him to become my internet marketing mentor by joining his coaching program. It took quite a while for me to understand that there’s only so far you can go on your own. To progress beyond that point you need a mentor, a teacher .
Alex’s coaching program consists of weekly webinars that are run over 8-10 weeks, each being about 4 hours long with half that time being devoted to a question and answer session. The first webinar, Forward To Basics, introduced students to a new mindset in how to run an online business and is the core of what’s to follow in future sessions. This involves learning time management skills and being able to set realistic goals and make plans for them.
As practical work, he now wants his students to build their own blog to establish an online presence. For those not familiar with such a task, training is provided in the members area. There’s also a thriving community of Jeffreys’ former students who are more than willing to lend a hand to new students who feel out of their depth .
Just a couple of weeks into Alex’s coaching program, I can already see that I’ll have to unlearn some bad habits and change some aspects of the way I work. It’s obvious that Alex cares about his students – he talks with them rather than at them. He’s come up through the ranks himself via his own mentors (Mike Filsaime, Rich Schefren and others) and the plan he has in mind for his students’ future is pretty darn exciting!
